In the beginning, we start with a mass of sawed up wood. During its six-month voyage in our workshop it will be expertly handled by our master craftsman. 
 
Planning, adjusting, sanding, varnishing, polishing, lining... Innovating continually, working with rare woods and noble materials Elie Bleu knows that, it must also caress the product with patience. These numerous steps are impossible to accomplish in just a few days, so Elie Bleu breathes into its objects the creative spirit of a tradition for which it has been a patron for more than 40 years. 
 
The selection and preparation of the solid wood used in the making of an Elie Bleu creation is of great importance. Before a wood can used, it must cure for many years in the open air and it must be uniform and have a fine grain. The beauty of an object depends on the way the essence of the precious wood veneers are used. Elie Bleu is committed to avoid natural imperfections found in most woods, such as knots, dark spots, or holes and chooses the most beautifully grained veneers. 
 
Each creation has numerous, very fine coats of varnish applied. Their exceptional brilliance and transparency are obtained by successively sanding and polishing eight times by hand. 
For perfect quality, each creation is done entirely by hand.
